All through the night first published under this name by Edward Jones in 'Musical Relicks of the Welsh Bards' in 1784. The Ash Grove an old Welsh harp melody was first published without words by Edwards Jones in the Bardic Museums in 1802. David of the White Rock was first published in 'Relics of the Welsh Bards' in 1794. Believed to have been written by Dafydd (David) Owain (1712-41) a famous Welsh Bard who lived in a farm called Gareg Wen (The White Rock) in N. Wales. The March of the Men of Harlech is a song and military march traditionally said to describe the events during the seven year long seige of Harlech castle (1461-8). First published in the Musical and Practical Relicks of the Welsh Bards in 1784.
