Georges Bizet composed this charming piece as part of a suite of incidental music to a theater production of Alphonse Daudet’s "L’Arlesienne" in 1872 for the Theatre du Vaudeville. I have drawn largely on the harp part, as well as the strings, to form a guitar part in this arrangement for guitar and flute. I also transposed the piece down from E flat to D, for the benefit of the guitar.
It is possible to play from score, with only one page turn accomplished by the guitarist. However, individual parts, each two pages long, are also included.
