"Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne ?" (Robert Burns)
A traditional tune probably originating in Scotland: "Auld Lang Syne" is usually sung each New Year at midnight or as a song of farewell. It is common practice that everyone joins hands with the person next to him or her to form a great circle around the dance floor, theatre, arena etc.
This is a straight forward arrangement for orchestra with additional parts for concert band. There is also a full arrangement for concert band as well ….This arrangement now has a short introduction. If you use this arrangement let me know how it goes!
