Literal translation (AJ):

1. Oh yes! the earth is beautiful and the sky is superb, But when your breast throbs and when your eyes gleam, When your graceful step runs so lightly on the grass That the sound of a lyre is less sweet than its sound;

2. When your fresh smile, dawn of your soul, Is breaking, beaming on me that it makes younger, And, from your pink mouth where its sweet flame is born, Raises to your brow like a sun to the zenith;

3. When, sometimes, without seeing you, your young voice reaches me Saying indistinct words that I often don’t grasp, Sound of a stream disappearing under the shade of its bank, Song of a hidden bird that one dreamingly listens to;

4. What’s coming out of so many sweet things, What’s exuding from your beauty, night and day, Like a fragrance formed by the breath of hundred roses, It’s far more than the earth and the sky: it is love!

Which method of viewing music should I use?

Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:

seView, is the most compatible option. You should be able to view music on all modern web browsers including most mobile devices. Even if your device does not support javascript you should still be able to preview at least page one of the music.

You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.

Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.

If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
