Violoncello 2 from Bach - PRELUDE FOR CELLO TRIO
You will probably know this music as the prelude to Bach's fourth suite for solo cello. Far be it for me to question Bach's genius (he will always be one of my most loved composers), but the writing feels a lot like a keyboard music. However, I'm in no doubt Bach knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote this amazing piece. This is my take on it. It was never intended to sound as if Bach had written it himself, rather my own feelings regarding his harmony and counterpoint. It starts very simply - but things happen as the piece progresses. I do hope you like it.
