In the distant past I was an aerodynamicist but subsequently retired from 30 years of computer systems work in September 2000, and completed a 9-month O.C.A. correspondence course in advanced composition. Previously, from the mid-1950s I composed intermittently, influenced, if at all, by Schumann, Dvorak and early twentieth century English composers. Most of my music starts from a melodic idea and now includes MP3 versions, using the Garritan Personal Orchestra. It is gradually separating into two paths, the longer one 'traditional', whilst the other has a more up-to-date asperity. Please contact me if you would like parts for performance.
