Anthony Mullany

I live in Hastings, NZ and have interests in both classical and jazz music. In my early years, I was first taught in my home town by Mr James Baker from the UK, a former student of Ivor Mairants, learning the basics of the classical guitar. From him I also learnt jazz harmonies' and became inspired. After then, I pursued Classical Guitar music and learnt from two well-known concert guitarists and teacher's, Karl Herreshoff and Edrick Banks. Eventually, I had a wonderful opportunity to attend a masterclass given by John W Duarte when he came to NZ in 1980. His teachings, I consider to be of the finest. I am presently retired from teaching and am now focused on my compositions and arrangements, old and new for publication.
