John is a trumpet player who turned professional at 19. For 10 years he played in night clubs and pitt orchestras. He also played for radio and television shows. He worked in backup bands for The Mills Brothers, Patti Page, Earle Grant, even Conway Twitty. When he finally decided to settle down he stopped playing trumpet, took a day job as an advertising writer, got married and raised a family. 35 years later, he retired and has resumed playing and writing music.
