Kathleen Henson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and her love of music writing manifested itself at an early age. With the guidance of her music teachers she entered into the Minnesota State Competition at age 16, where she won second place with her composition "Edge of Silence."

Throughout the years she has accompanied many singers and choirs and has played at such venues as Orchestra Hall and Ordway Theatre as well as local venues, concerts, and music theaters.

Today you will still find her behind the piano, as a composer, accompanist, vocal coach, and choral director for several of the local choral groups, churches, and ensembles in the Twin Cities area.
