David Langley

I am a Canadian who now lives permanently in New Zealand, on the inspirational Kapiti Coast near Wellington. I have been a semi-professional musician all of my adult life, focussing on trumpet and flugelhorn as well as arranging and composing. I have played all of the genres with most of my time spent in jazz groups of all sizes, dance bands, pop / rock / R&B, concert bands, brass bands, and symphony orchestras. I am currently active as a player and assistant musical director of the Kapiti Brass, musical leader of an eclectic 9 piece jazz-rock brass ensemble called "Brasso", and part of the Kapiti Light Orchestra.

Composing and arranging have always been part of my musical landscape. I plan to "tidy up" my catalogue of original music and present it here on Score Exchange. I will start with brass band arrangements but eventually hope to release some of my music for concert band and big band jazz orchestra.
