I have written, arranged and performed music of many styles for over 40 years. I trained in music theory, composition and analysis at Princeton University, and in classical piano for 13 years with several teachers. I am also a percussionist and a singer with professional vocal training. I played in a number of rock bands in my younger days, often with my three brothers. I love music of all sorts–classical, jazz, rock, pop, R&B, gospel, show tunes, even country (that's hard to say for a New York boy). My vocation is economics; I received my PhD from Harvard in 1985. I work for the Federal Reserve as a senior policy advisor and researcher.
