Born in Llanberis, Wales, Dafydd Bullock has lived in Luxembourg since 1983. Primarily a composer, his music, which includes twelve symphonies, a cycle of seven symphonic poems, music for two films, twelve string quartets, two operas, two masses, two Requiems, an Oratorio, a Missa Brevis and much piano, vocal and chamber music, is published by seven different publishers and is available on twenty-four CDs. He is a member of SACEM.
He was awarded Wales' greatest honour in 1995 when he was invested into the Gorsedd of Bards. In 2005 he became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
He studied Music at the University of Manchester and International Relations at the University of Sussex. He has a particular relationship with Prague, having recorded and premiered Symphonies 2 and 3, and String Quartets 3 and 4 in that city. He conducts VOX, the international choir in Luxembourg.
