Christopher Barnard

I was educated in Birmingham and went on to study music at Salford College of Technology (1985-88) on the Graduate Diploma in Band musicianship course. I started to teach music in 1989 and have taught in a number of different types of schools across the UK and in Guernsey. I have performed on many instruments and in many countries (including 2 weeeks in Russia!) and have composed music since my school days. As a secondary (high school) teacher I have always enjoyed writing and arranging music for my students and I shall add some of that to my site in good time. I am also a Trustee of The National School band Association (a charitable organisation promoting band music in schools) and would recommend you have a look at our site.
