John Knox

Born Northumberland, England, 1932. Studied RAM, London. Also carillon with Clifford Ball in Bournville then with Staf Nees in Mechelen, Belgium. First ever City Carillonneur of Aberdeen, 1955, later of Perth, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and now Old Bond St. London. Taught Music for Northumberland County at all levels from Primary to Teacher Training. Carillon compositions all published by American Carillon Music Editions in the USA. Ensembles for eight guitars published by Corda Music, St. Albans. Now retired but still acting as -Music Publications Editor of the British Carillon Society. 2009 Extraordinary Service Award of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America.
