I have been playing brass instruments for too long to remember, since I was 8, almost 19 years ago. I have been writing music for almost as long. My first instrument is the French Horn, but I will play any brass instrument (trombones included), and have self taught myself the clarinet and flute. I am an active musician participating in a couple of orchestra as the principal horn, the orchestras being the Endcliffe Community Orchestra, and the Sheffield Youth Orchestra.

In 2001, I became a 2:1 graduate from a degree in Communication Arts: Studies in Media and Performance, in which music was my specialism. The sort of music that I am interested in at the moment is 20th Century music, especially Minimalism, but also looking closely at the early symphonies of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
