In 2001, when I was writing the song, we had just started a Worship Leaders’ group at our church and we were aiming to push "Passionate Worship" as a key area of our church strategy.
This song looks at worshipping God from three perspectives - the son (Jesus), the Father and the Spirit. Worshipping God is not just something for Sunday mornings. We are called to worship Him 24/7. Romans 12:1 states "Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it before God as an offering." (The Message bible)
