This world has no need for weapons, which soon turn on themselves.
Where armies have camped, nettles grow; years of famine follow each war.
The most fruitful outcome does not depend on force, but succeeds without arrogance, without hostility, without pride, without resistance, without violence.
Force is followed by loss of strength. This is not the way of Tao.
That which goes against Tao comes to an early end.
