This is a recessional motet from a setting of Anglican Compline made for the Norman Chapel in University College, Durham (Durham Castle). I might get round to putting up the whole Compline setting at some point, but for now, this is the highlight.
The two tenor lines are a musical canonic palindrome, framing the name of God at the centre. The lowest part carries the closing hymn from Compline in isorhyhmic presentation. The Amen finally uses the upper voices in climax.
