The Lonely F Blues was written with beginning to intermediate jazz combos in mind. Although the score has alto sax, trumpet, and trombone, it can be played with almost any type of instrumentation. Your group instrumentation and you will have to decide what sounds best. Any line is playable with almost any instrument. Each instrumental part has all three parts on it. Minimum instrumentation is piano from the rhythm section and a top line melody instrument, but as many as 50 different instruments can sound good!!
(Please excuse the quality of the audio recording. It is much better with real instruments. You will have to use your imagination when listening to hear the real composition! I hope to update it soon.)
