This is a verbatim transcription of the Bach organ chorale prelude of the same name but has been transposed to keep it within range of all 4 players. With accomplished players it produces a wonderfully rich contrapuntal sound. The transcription was made by an organist who also happens to be a viola player. No bowings or other markings have been added, leaving these to the players discretion, but a warm legato style is called for. With less experienced players a slower tempo may be appropriate.
