'The Ceremony of Innocence' was written for my 3rd year uni composition folio. The theme of the work comes from Yate's poem 'The Second Coming' with my setting of the 'Kyrie' acting as man's cry for redemption. The nucleus of the work can be found in the motif in the viola's and cello's at bar 18. Most of the other themes and harmonies are based on this motif or its intervals. I would dearly like to have this work performed, so if you are interested please contact me for a 'FREE' set of parts.
