A romantic miniature in the form of a concertino movement for viola and string quartet/orchestra.
Written for a viola player (the late Margaret Grove), who complained of the shortage of solos written specifically for viola.
The score and parts for this concertino movement for viola and string orchestra are the same as for the 2-viola string quintet also called "Margaret's Moment". It is therefore not necessary to buy both if you are a viola soloist and wish to play it with a string orchestra (which may optionally include double basses) and then with a string quartet. The piece appears twice on the ScoreExchange list, once under each of these different groupings, for the convenience of viola soloists looking for repertoire.
