Made by a retired professional musician who was both a first rate organist and brass player, this transcription of probably the most well known organ show piece ever written is a virtuoso transcription for only the most out standing brass players. Virtually every instrument is taxed to the limit both in note range and rhythmically. Things are not easy for the conductor either, as it was never written to be conducted - hint it is easier to think of the piece in 8/8 rather than 4/4. To make things slightly more comfortable (but not much!) for the players it has been transposed down a tone - so it really becomes toccata and fugue in C minor! To help bands try this transcription, the parts and score have been priced low, and do listen to the mp3 file to get an idea of how it all fits together and sounds - sorry it is not an actual recording, only sampled digital sounds - but the effect is still stunning - especially with the Hi-Fi volume turned up. For non-UK brass groups, alternative bass clef parts are also available as required for the lower instruments.
