Ave Verum Corpus (for Guitar Solo) Mozart wrote this short piece for a friend of his in a small town near Vienna. It is very simple yet hauntingly beautiful. Mozart’s friend was the conductor of the local amateur church choir, so the piece had to be playable/singable by inexperienced performers. Ave Verum Corpus was probably written in a day, but turned out to be one of Mozart’s most memorable compositions, loved all over the world by all people(s).

Transcribed and adapted for solo guitar (notation and tab). Ideal for festive occasions, such as weddings, funerals and the like. Length: 2’48”, 2 pages. Playable Score Degree of difficulty: medium to advanced intermediate Played and recorded by Markus Plattner
