Each work represents aspects of the countryside and its weather, flora and fauna – a completely new concept at the time.
This movement comes from Concerto No. 4 in the set - arranged here for mixed woodwind trio of oboe, clarinet and bassoon - and aims to convey the feeling of being warm and contented indoors by the fire, while the rain comes down outside.
