This is the third of Four Canadian Folksong Settings commissioned by the Niagara Symphony Association in 1978.
They have been sung by amateur and professional choirs in Canada, S.Africa, the UK and a Choral Summer Music Camp in the USA.
I heard this on sibelius for the first time and it really makes me want to take this to my choir and have them feel the plaintive character of this piece. Reminiscent of Greensleeves and so many tales of love gone away. This is a bittersweet song with an enchanting tune. (Jyoti Iyer)
