This is one of those tunes that is easy to play (ideal for youngsters), but hard to play exceptionally well. All instrument parts are relatively simple. A very simple song structure that builds and builds.
The score is only 9 pages long, written using the 'Play on Pass' feature in Sibelius 5.
It tells the story from the point of view of a ghost, someone who has died, and its deals with the often forgotten issue of depression and suicide; hence "…in the black and blues of beyond".
Great to jam to. When played well, its message really hits home… Hopefully, it will cause you to ponder the issue.
