In the recitatives, I have tried to stick as rigidly as possible to the melodic shapes of the original; fitting, were practical, the English words to the same notes as set for the German equivalent. In the recitatives I have used Sch�tz's scheme of 'long' and 'short' notes and I have, in the most part, adhered to the baring as set out in the Eulenburg urtext edition. A chorus only score is also available.
