This is a preliminary version of this canon, submitted at this time to this site in case I don't get around to finishing it later. I was very enthusiastic about how this was getting off at first, but as it unfolded, it began to bear a striking resemblance to a famous Beethoven piece, which caused me to lose momentum in writing it as I couldn't seem to shake the similarity and am not in the general habit of rewriting classics (not intentionally anyway!).
