When asked to arrange a solo for Bb baritone, I had to think carefully about suitability. Listening to a lot of different material, I returned to Debussy's well known Rhapsody for clarinet. It's now 100 years since the composer orchestrated this ditty. With a few adjustments for pitch, I began scoring first from the piano part, then added material from the orchestral score. Not easy to play, but a worthwhile challenge for a competant player. My first arrangement of 2011.
