Guitar from Las Mañanitas/Mañanitas Tapatías
"Las Mañanitas" and "Mañanitas Tapatías" are traditional Mexican birthday songs often paired as they are in this arrangement. The three-part choral arrangement can be sung SAB, STB,or even TTB. The accompaniment is for requinto, guitar, and string bass. A requinto is a small (3/4 size) guitar tuned a fourth higher than the guitar. The requinto traditionally plays the melody or countermelody in introductions, interludes, and postludes. Lacking a requinto, one can play the part on a guitar.
