The Old Dominion Brass was founded in 1979 to provide a means for friends to get together, have fun, and explore the literature for brass quintet music. The group soon became a popular selection for weddings, receptions, Christmas parties, and in-home concerts featuring a relaxed and entertaining trip through a variety of music genres from Baroque to Broadway. Their library of music is now over a thousand pieces, including many original transcriptions of string chamber music, overtures, symphonies, big band jazz, popular tunes, and Broadway musicals.
