"O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory." (Psalm 108:1)
I was born in 1955 in Akron, Ohio and have spent the majority of my life in the Akron area. My parents were both singers and my mother was also a church organist in a small Slovak church. I am essentially self-taught although I did take a some organ lessons when I was 35 years old.
The harmonica was the first instrument I seriously tried to become proficient with at the age of 14. A year later I started picking out tunes on the piano and learned to sight-read using a four-octave homemade cardboard keyboard taped to the edge of my barracks desk while serving in the U. S. Air Force.
I just recently retired and plan to compose and arrange music on a regular basis. I also sing in the Akron Symphony Chorus along with my local church choir.
