Alex Makeev is a musician based in the San Francisco Peninsula who offers sheet music for diverse pieces for big band, jazz combo, and lead sheets for individual use. In 2024 he won the 47th Annual Downbeat Student Arrangements category with his arrangement of Wayne Shorter's "Infant Eyes." In 2022, Alex Makeev qualified for the Jazz at the Ballroom (JATB) scholarship for high school instrumentalists in the Bay Area. In 2021, he was featured in a local newspaper.
