Christopher Barr (ASCAP) is an award winning composer of film, game, and television music. His love of band and wind ensemble music began when he was admitted into elementary band class in the fifth grade. From there, he continued playing into his college years and began composing works for his piers to perform at Solo & Ensemble competitions as well as weekly student performances.

His teachers have included Hal Nonneman, who introduced him to this wonderful world of composing back in high school. Dr. William Post, prof. of theory at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, who introduced Chris to 20th century techniques and extended tonalities. Brian Kip Haaheim at the University of Kansas, who inspired him to find his own voice. Michael Sweet at Berklee College of Music, who taught him how to take the most minimal of ideas and turn them into fully fleshed out musical scores for games and films.
