Another piece written for composition class. This time we had to write for solo viola and paino and it had to be in a whole tone or octotonic scale. I chose to use the whole tone scale. This isn't necessarily my favorite kind of music to listen to, but it was fun to write and an important style to learn. The idea of the piece is Damian(the mythical son of Satan) is on a playground walking towards a group of kids, hence the walking bass line at the beginning. The viola represents Damian (fitting huh;) as he stands there looking like he owns the place.
