Dawayne Stamper
Being raised in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas by my grandparents was the ideal environment for me to learn how to use my God-given abilities in the local church. Beginning piano lessons at the age of seven, I grew to become piano accompanist and soloist for local worship services on a consistent basis by the age of fourteen. While a senior in high school, I won the Arkansas Federation of Music Clubs' State Piano Competition. After graduating as class valedictorian from Lavaca High School in 1995, I continued my music studies at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. In December 1999, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University.
I began serving in the worship ministry at First Baptist Church Lavaca, AR, on a part-time basis in June 1997, and as a full-time employee in July 1999. Throughout my tenure, I have had the opportunity to use and improve my leadership and creative abilities by fulfilling personnel needs ranging from administrative support to music composer and arranger. At the present time, I serve as the Worship Pastor.
I have released two piano solo albums: "Foundation" and "Piano Configurations for Worship." Both projects are sold worldwide through various digital partners. These albums feature my own arrangements and performances, and can be heard on the "Dawayne Stamper music station" on Pandora radio. Additionally, partnering in ministry with singer/songwriter Daniel Crews has allowed me to share my musical arrangements with congregations throughout the southern United States.
