James Siddons is a composer, pianist, and musicologist. Having studied in the U.S., England, and Japan, he lives in Virginia. He has composed in many genres, including analog electronic music, music theater, piano solo, choir, and various instrumental ensembles. His academic awards include several grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, a Mombusho (Ministry of Education) Research Student grant, and a Fulbright post-doctoral grant for research in Japanese music.
