John Summers

John Summers is a professional musician from Australia, who also runs a commercial recording studio in the Blue Mountains outside Sydney. His enduring passion is composition, and his works include pieces for chamber ensembles, solo guitar and guitar ensemble, solo violin, and many vocal and choral pieces, both accompanied and accapella. JS Bach is the mentor (motivationally, not stylistically). He has been a finalist in several European composition contests, but with nothing published as yet. He has recorded Raison D'Etre, a 2-movement piece for soprano and string quartet, and The Fourth Way for soprano and mixed ensemble. He is currently recording three major choral works.
