Bio:
"Nova Scotian composer Lucas Oickle received his B.Mus. in Composition from Acadia University, where he studied with JUNO award-winning composer Derek Charke and composer/conductor Dinuk Wijeratne. His music has been performed by the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra, Motion Ensemble, the TEMPO New Music Ensemble, the Acadia Gamelan Ensemble, the Acadia Chamber Orchestra and the Whitney M. Young Magnet High School String Orchestra in Chicago, Illinois. An increasingly diverse portfolio of works includes pieces for such varied instrumentations as guitar duet, brass quintet, saxophone duet/quartet, string quartet, string orchestra, percussion ensemble, electroacoustic tape, gamelan degung (Indonesian metallophone ensemble), solo organ and full orchestra."
