I am Barry McCormick, second youngest of a family of five, born and raised in Paisley, Scotland
I was always singing and enjoyed music in the primary stages of my life always recieving positive reports on musical activities in the classroom.
Growing up singing along to and listing to a wide variety of music from the carpenters to Buddy Holly, and Patsy Cline to Meatloaf. In high school I took a particular interest in Celtic and Jazz music in which I joined the respective bands.
Church music has alway been a big part of my life. Being raised Catholic the music of Mass and now through attending an evangelical church more and more falling in love with both the old traditional hymns and the new contemporary form or worship music which is coming through. I lead worship along with a team of others at Hopehall Evangelical Church.
I was set on becoming an architect/engineer all through high school then the amazing musical experience I had through the music department made me set on making music my career.
With this new vision in mind I applied for the BEd Music Course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama of which I completed 2 full years leaving with a Diploma in Music with Higher Education. Leaving prematurely because of the unfortunate death of my mother.
Since then I have been working in a fast food restaurant trying to get my music carreer off the ground at the same time. Trying to find inspiration for new compostions and songs and also trying to start up private tuition.
I am also passionate about trying to make a difference and really want to be remembered for impacting atleast just one person for the better.
I hope you will like my music and that you will be a familiar face on my site.
