I have been a composer/arranger/engraver/percussionist in the Seattle, Washington area for the last 8 years. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Music Composition from Central Washington University, and continued to earn a Master of Music in Music Composition in 2005. My compositions and arrangements have been performed internationally, and they cover a wide range of genres. While studying composition, my teachers have included Mark Polishook, Eric Flesher, Kirk Marcy and David Asplin.
I have recently taken a teaching position at Edmonds Community College and have written a number of original vocal jazz pieces. Although busy with the business of vocal jazz, I continue to write contemporary orchestra and chamber pieces, and stay focused on New Media by collaborating with composer Mark Polishook. Other collaborations include engraving the work of composer Vijay Singh, and orchestrating works by composer John Pickett.
The pieces listed on this site are primarily works intended for school groups. My wife is a elementary and junior high school orchestra teacher, so naturally, I have recently focused my energy on writing for those groups. I have tried to post some pieces of other varieties, and I hope you find something worthwhile! I am sure you will!!!
