Richard Viglucci recently graduated from Northwestern University with a MMus in Clarinet Performance. Richard has also received a B.M. in Music Performance and Psychology from SUNY Potsdam & the Crane School of Music. While attending Northwestern Richard studied both clarinet & bass clarinet with world renowned clarinetist J. Lawrie Bloom of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Russell Dagon of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
Recently Richard has taken a job at Minot State University in North Dakota to be Director of Bands & Woodwinds. He has been offered to play principal clarinet in the local Minot Symphony Orchestra and currently subs with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
In the future Richard plans to earn a DMA (Doctorate of Musical Arts) in clarinet performance.
