I was born in Fall River, Massachusetts in 1934. Now retired and living in Cornwall, England.
I have little formal musical education save voice lessons from local dedicated teachers. I've always loved to sing, but found little opportunity to express myself until my retirement. Having sung in choirs, amateur opera and as soloist, as well as conducted a ladies' choir for four years, I've now hung up my vocal cords and taken up that part of music, which while demanding, is much kinder to tired voices-composing, which has become my passion.
I studied composition for much too brief a period under Paul Hancock before his tragic death in fire at his home. My composition 'Eulogy' is dedicated to his memory.
Most of my compositions have been inspired by poetry, including a few of my own; although I have had a go at instrumentals.
