Born in Plymouth, 1979, Ross began his musical life at the age of seven as chorister at St. Gabriel's Church and learning the trumpet with the 7th Plymouth Boys' Brigade company. He has played with local ensembles such as the Royal British Legion (Plymouth) Brass Band and the University of Plymouth Orchestra. On piano Ross has accompanied for Plymouth's Young Savoyards and played in the Stalls Bar of Plymouth Theatre Royal, at the Athenaeum Theatre and entertaining guests at the Two Bridges Hotel, Dartmoor. More recently Ross has been playing on board the Brittany Ferries and regularly plays at Chloe's restaurant, Plymouth. Ross completed a BMus(Hons) degree at the Roehampton University of Surrey where he studied performance (trumpet), composition and choral conducting. During these years Ross gained experience as a ballet school pianist, Windband/Orchestra Manager chorister - performing at such venues as Westminster Abbey, St. Alban's Cathedral and the Royal Albert Hall. He followed this with a Postgraduate diploma in Music Performance from Kingston University and is currently back in Plymouth where he teaches brass, piano and keyboard instruments at local schools and privately.
