The composer, a Lancastrian, who, possessing all the necessary qualifications which, had he lived 100 years ago, would have seen him wearing said footwear on the floor of a working mill somewhere in deepest Lancashire. He remembers from his earliest childhood, seeing and trying miserably to walk wearing an adult pair, usually only on the occasions when the understairs cupboard was swept out, probably once every two years. This then, is his Lancastrian Clog Dance, as he might visualise it being played and performed in modern times.
Ideally for a short light encore at the end of a serious concert.
