This devine melody is one of the most exceptional Flemish Christmas songs:"Hoe leit dit kindeken" or "How suffers this child". A few years ago I've made an easy accompaniment for the piano that I've supplemented now with a flute part. The song describes in he Dutch language the Child that suffers in the cold winter night. The Angels try him to console with their music.I've arranged the piano part mostly in 3 voices. The flute part is ad libitum.
