Holst uses a similar arrangement to this in both his 2nd Suite for Military Band, and the St. Pauls’ Suite for Strings. Holst juxtaposes the 16th century English folk tune "Dargason", with "Greensleeves", purportedly written by King Henry VIII (although this is now pooh-poohed by those spoilsports historians!) Arranged for Clarinet Choir, it may be played by a minimum of 6Bb Clarinets and a Bass Clarinet, but ideally for Eb, 4 Bb, Alto, Bass, with optional parts for Contra Alto and Contra Bass.
