This piece was written as an Easter Vigil service fanfare. It is equally suitable for Easter day. It requires a competent organist, but the percussion parts are much simpler and some would be suitable for children. We found it best to have a non-player to beat time.
This piece pictures the scene from the depths of despair before the resurrection to the joy after it has happened.
