It is dedicated to him and the friends who will join him from time to time to play it. I hope they all enjoy performing it as much as I have enjoyed writing it over the last two weeks (early February 2005). This last movement, in 5/4, is playful, roguish even, and includes what I hope will be savoured as a sweet moment of nostalgia.
